چکیده

Introduction: Cervical screening programmes differ in the age of women recommended for primary human papillomavirus (HPV) testing. This study aims to determine clinical efficacy and impact 14-high-risk HPV DNA testing from 25 years old. Method: was a retrospective analysis data collected prospectively or older who attended hospital-based gynaecology clinics cervical screening. Women with history neoplasia abnormal cytology were excluded. High-risk partial genotyping HPV-16 HPV-18 performed on cobas 4800 System (Roche Diagnostics International AG, Rotkreuz, Switzerland). tested positive 12 other high-risk subtypes (HPV-12 other) had reflex test. Positive included and/or HPV-18, HPV-12 abnormalities equal greater than atypical squamous cells undetermined significance, repeated at months. detection colposcopy referral rates, high-grade determined. Results: Of 10,967 studied, 822 (7.50%) positive. The overall discharge rate routine according protocol 93.1%. Colposcopy 4.4%. detected 41 intraepithelial grade 2+ (CIN2+) (0.37%) 31 (0.28%) CIN3+. number colposcopies needed per case CIN2+ 9.5, similar below above 30 CIN3+ positivity 8.5, compared 17.0 categories (P=0.040). cytology. Primary Screening for Cervical Cancer Based on High-Risk Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Detection and HPV 16 and HPV 18 Genotyping, in Comparison to Cytology

OBJECTIVES The objective of the present study is to assess the performance of a high-risk human papillomavirus (HR-HPV) DNA test with individual HPV-16/HPV-18 genotyping as a method for primary cervical cancer screening compared with liquid-based cytology (LBC) in a population of Greek women taking part in routine cervical cancer screening. METHODS The study, conducted by the "HEllenic Real l...

Can human papillomavirus (HPV) genotyping classify non-16/18 high-risk HPV infection by risk stratification?

OBJECTIVE Infection with high-risk genotypes of human papillomavirus (HR-HPV) is the major cause of invasive cervical cancers. HPV-16 and HPV-18 are known to be responsible for two-thirds of all invasive cervical carcinomas, followed by HPV-45, -31, and -33. Current guidelines only differentiate HPV-16/18 (+) by recommending direct colposcopy for treatment. We tried to evaluate whether there ar...
